Take 6 Charlotte reviews
Great show marred by stupid mistakes
Amy Lee was amazing, and it was well worth the 17 year wait, holding a top bucket list concert spot for me during that time. The delay between when the orchestra opened up with 6 songs and when Take 6 and the orchestra walked out for her set was the issue with the show. The delay was the same as you'd have for bands being switched out, drums being put in place, etc., but none of that was required! I walked out after her last hit My Immortal with 5 songs to go because it was getting late and with the sold-out crowd and drive home, it would have been a very late night. As I walked out, I was amazed at the sheer number of people who all walked out at that same moment, all stating the same thing. A large part of the audience needlessly missed a 1/3 of the concert because of this stupid delay. First of all, she personally couldn't have been better. My issue with the show came with its pacing, and I know I wasn't alone. I get these people don't have to wake up for work in the morning, but don't they realize their audience does? Anyway, it was a great concert, just wish it wasn't needlessly extended so that the entire audience could have seen it to the end.
